Digital Media Edge further underlined their increasingly active role in supporting Lincoln’s local community by attending an exclusive Fans’ Forum at Lincoln City FC on Friday evening.
With the Imps announcing the arrival of Danny Cowley as the new manager at Sincil Bank in tandem with his brother and assistant manager Nicky Cowley, the evening proved a roaring success.
As part of our continued efforts to enhance Lincoln City FC’s online web presence going forward, Digital Media Edge streamed Danny Cowley’s first Lincoln City FC press conference live on Periscope – a first for the club.
Gaining over 1000 views from both loyal Imps supporters unable to attend, not to mention the wider football family on the web, we were delighted to deliver this behind-the-scenes footage, aiming to forge a greater social connection between both fans and the club under the hashtag #TeamLincoln.
What’s more, Lincoln City FC’s South African overseas investor Clive Nates also tuned in to Digital Media Edge’s live Periscope coverage!
Only days since both Danny and Nicky Cowley departed Braintree Town FC after agonisingly losing out on a spot in the Vanarama National League Play-Off Final at the hands of Lincolnshire rivals Grimsby Town FC, the brothers felt delighted in their new surroundings.
Addressing Imps fans for the first time, Cowley claimed: “This is a fantastic football club. It should be a Football League club and it deserves success. It hasn’t had as much success as it should have had, but we expect to change that.
“We will look to freshen things up, but we have to be respectful to the current group. We need to speak to the players. They’re not just players, they’re people. We need to see their motivation and listen to their views.”
We wish both Danny and Nicky Cowley every success as they embark on their biggest challenge of their managerial careers to date
Up The Imps!
